Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI)

The Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) looks to see the human and animal bond be universally embraced through science, education, and advocacy.

Overview:

HABRI believes that companion animals, especially our pets, are good for our health. Their mission is to promote the human-animal bond by examining the vital role that they play in the health and well-being of individuals, families and communities, as well as mutually benefiting the pet. Through their commitment to supporting scientific research, HABRI examines mental health, workplace wellness, healthy aging, autism spectrum disorder, allergies and immunity, and quality of life, among others in order to successfully advocate their message.

Why is the HABRI important?

If a hospital location is in support of HABRI it displays a level of commitment that they have chosen to give in support of the organization. HABRI is integral for the promotion of the human-animal bond by supporting pet-friendly policies, urging representatives to support legislation, and connecting to doctors and veterinarians about the mutual benefits.
